MARIANO GARCÍA is certified as a civil trial attorney and has practiced in West Palm Beach since 1994, representing clients in state and federal courts in personal injury and commercial litigation cases. Mr. García has achieved the “AV” classification, the highest honor that a lawyer can receive for his ability and professional ethics, awarded by Martindale Hubbel. He is a member of the “Million Dollar” and Multi-Million Dollar Lawyers Forum and the American Board of Trial Lawyers. He has been selected since 2011 to be part of the Florida Super Lawyers list.

In July 2011, Mr. García joined the law firm of Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart & Shipley, PA as a bilingual attorney, bringing his vast experience and a long history dedicated to representing the Latino community.
Mr. García’s immigrant roots shaped his life and career. At the age of 8, his parents, who did not speak English at the time, moved his family from Argentina to New York City, settling in the state of Florida at the end of the 1970s. His parents’ faith in the United States as the land of opportunity, as well as his dedication to education and hard work to achieve success, inspired Mr. García to graduate from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree. He later earned his law degree from the University of St. Thomas School of Law, where he was editor of the Law Review.

With a firm belief that everyone should have a voice within our justice system, he donates his time to causes that are dedicated to this principle. He is immediate past president of the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County, which provides free legal help to those most in need in our community. Mr. Garcia has also served as president of the Palm Beach County Hispanic Bar Association, which encourages qualified Hispanic attorneys to apply to be judges. In September 2010, Governor Charlie Crist appointed him to serve a four-year term on the 15th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission, which selects judicial applicants to fill vacancies within the Palm County judicial system.
